FAQ

These FAQs were developed to help create an experience you’re completely satisfied with when purchasing artwork from Flow State Art Studio.

Please don’t hesitate to submit a question not addressed in the FAQs by clicking here. Thanks!

How much will shipping cost?

Generally speaking, the larger/heavier the item, how quickly you’d like it delivered and the further away you live from Columbus, OH, the higher the shipping costs will be. But no worries, you’ll be able to find accurate shipping costs when checking out.

Do you accept returns or exchanges?

Unfortunately no, all sales are final due largely to the costs associated with shipping artwork. However, your satisfaction with the artwork you purchase is Flow State Art Studio’s highest priority so feel free to use the “CONTACT” link at the top of this webpage to request additional pictures of the artwork you’re interested in purchasing if you’d like.

Do your paintings come with a certificate of authenticity?

With the exception of Giclée prints, all artwork sold by Flow State Art Studio comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist. The certificate of authenticity includes details of the artwork as well (i.e. title, limited edition #, etc.).

What are Giclée prints?

Giclée (pronounced zhee-KLAY) prints are high resolution digital reproductions of original artwork created using a printer capable of matching color and precisely applying ink on high quality archival paper.

The artwork I’m interested in is sold out. Can you make another one for me?

Original paintings created by Flow State Art Studio will not be re-produced once they’re sold. Digital prints as well as laser-cut artwork are made available for purchase in limited editions, numbered and signed by the artist. These artworks won’t be re-created once they’re sold out either unless a special edition is made available for purchase.

This means if you see something you like, make sure you purchase it sooner rather than later…when it’s gone, it’s gone!

Are you available for commissioned work?

Original paintings, no. Laser-engraved/laser-cut artwork, yes.

Original paintings are not available on a commissioned basis because the fluid nature of the painting technique can result in a finished product that differs too much from what a client originally had in mind.

Laser-engraved/laser-cut artwork can be commissioned though. Feel free to use the “CONTACT” link at the top of this webpage to submit details of a concept you’d like to see brought to life.

How do you determine what to charge for commissioned artwork?

Quotes provided by Flow State Art Studio to create artwork on a commissioned basis take into account the quantity, quality and finishing of materials required as well as an estimated amount of time necessary to create the artwork.

How does payment work for commissioned artwork?

Payments for commissioned artwork are required to be made in two installments: a 50% up-front deposit prior to work commencing with the remaining 50% due after your artwork has been completed (but prior to delivery).

Note: quotes for commissioned artwork do not include shipping.

How long will it take to get my commissioned artwork?

Generally 3-6 weeks, depending on the complexity of the artwork as well as availability of materials required to create it. Need it faster? Just let me know and we’ll see if we can make it work!
